Earnest is done. We were out of the auditorium within half an hour of the play closing. That is probably a world record set strike, at least for what I've done before. We didn't actually have to strike a set, per se. We really just had to gather my furniture and props and bring them out to the car, so we did. Kara, the SM, gathered all my props during the third act. The production staff, as a whole, was very eager to get the hell out of there.

We worked with new actors, which brings its own problems. But they managed to come together and pull things together, for the most part. I'm rather proud of what they accomplished. But I can see the downside to the whole ordeal, theater-wise. As a whole, they could have done so much more. But theater takes a lot of effort, and this group didn't seem to realise how much effort it takes, if you really want to do it. But they had fun, and they all want to continue doing theater, so I suppose we did something right.

The drama outside the show, however, reached an all time high, at least in my experience. And, for a variety of reasons, methinks it may be sticking around even though the show has closed. Le sigh. Here's hoping that will clear up in due course. I find myself becoming bitchier and such in regards to that situation, and that's not what I want to be.

Saturday and today have been, for the most part, just what I needed. Dinner was great, but GW was closing early, which was lame. We got directed to a restaurant/pub about two blocks away that was actually rather homey and nice, and I had some really great conversations and just chilled out. I didn't worry about what I would have to face the next day or the rest of the week, and that was just what I needed. Couple that with today just being generaly relaxed and fun, and I'm feeling like I can face this difficult month with a little more positivity than originally thought. I may just be revelling in the moment, but methinks I'll stick with that for the time being.

Now that I have caught up with The Tudors (and the show is excellent, I must say), it is time to play in Azeroth for a while. Gaile's almost to 53.
