Damnation.

When I went to Grand Stage, I spent about 20 minutes looking for parking. Finally, a spot opened up on Lake street, near the expressway. I ran in, tried to figure out the gel colours, caught up with an old theater friend, all that good stuff. The gels and such ended up being more than Kevin had given me, which was a little irritating, but meh. I'd get the monies back.

As I walked down Lake street, texting Kevin to tell him he owed me monies, I saw a red car parked where my car was. I had to stop, do a double take, and think that maybe I parked somewhere else. Nope. I saw a sign then that read "Loading zone; no parking from x to x" (don't quite remember the hours). I let the guy who was going to park where I was that he would get towed, ran back to Grand Stage to ask where my car would have been taken, and began the trek to 400 E Lower Wacker Drive.

It was like out of a movie or something. It was sunnyish when I had originally parked. As soon as I got off the train at Randolph and Wabash, it starts to rain and get colder. Naturally, my coat and umbrella were in my car. By the time I got to the tow place, I was sopping wet and freezing cold, and couldn't see for the raindrops on my glasses. I'm hoping doing that didn't ruin 80 USD worth of gels, 'cause they wouldn't fit in my bag and got wet.

So now I'm doubly overdrawn, for gels and for getting my car out of the towing place, I'm down two and a half hours of work and have to make them up today, and I've been having problems getting warm since yesterday. I'm actually kind of surprised that I'm not more upset. I guess I'm on tech week mode, where I have to remain optimistic and such. We'll see how I feel after next Saturday.

And now, to the bath, then to the organising of the laundries, and then to the worky.

argh, random happenings
