Stop!

Dear Friends,

I have just read and signed the online petition:

"Boycott to the presence of Guillermo Vargas "Habacuc" at the Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008"

hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition
service, at:

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/ea6gk/

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might
agree, too.  If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider
signing yourself.

Best wishes,

aviatrix01

Well, I received a message regarding animal abuse and as an animal lover I thought that spreading the words through my journal would be okay. I mean, it is my journal anyway.

Here is a copy of the message I received, hope you’ll spread the words too. You may not know about Habacuc, so this message pretty much offers a summary. Read up. (or, you can also watch the video below)

In 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas
"Habacuc", took a dog from the street,
tied him to a rope in an art gallery,
and starved him to death
For several days, the 'artist' and the
visitors of the exhibition watched
emotionless the shameful 'masterpiece'
based on the dog's agony, until
eventually he died
This is not all... the prestigious
Visual Arts Biennial of the Central
American decided that the 'installation'
was actually art, so that Guillermo
Vargas Habacuc has been invited to
repeat his cruel action for the biennial
of 2008
PLEASE HELP STOP HIM
It takes a second to help put a stop to
animal abuse!
Sign the petition, today;
http://www. petitiononline. com/ea6gk/petition. html
Please, please sign it and spread the
word this cant happen again or it will
continue this is not art its cruelty!

These are the pictures of the dog we are talking about. Sad ending.

And guess what habacuc have to say about this...

"I let him die of hunger in the sight of everyone, as if the death of a poor dog was a shameless media show in which nobody does anything but to applaud or to watch disturbed. In the place that the dog was exposed remain a metal cable and a cord. The dog was extremely ill and did not want to eat, so in natural surroundings it would have died anyway; thus they are all poor dogs: sooner or later they die or are killed," the so-called artist brags on his blog.
