Moving

Well, I have taken the plunge and am moving up to Shinjuku next month. One of my coworkers had to go back to Canada suddenly, so I'm planning on taking over her room in a share house. It's a decent size, and cheap because it's not a company-owned house; the other people in it all went in to actually buy the house and they rent out this room. They're all Japanese, but they speak some English. This should be a good opportunity for more Japanese conversation practice though. So I'll be giving up my nice apartment, and giving up living alone (the saddest part, I really love living alone), but it should be worth it to be so much closer to work. My commute will only be like fifteen minutes from the new place, it's a ten-minute walk to central Shinjuku (the house itself is in nishi-shinjuku, which is mainly a business district), and a fifteen-minute walk to Yoyogi park. Ten minutes to Shibuya by bus, as well. I'm looking forward to living in such a super convenient location, but I'm seriously going to miss living alone in my current lovely apartment. Oh well. I shouldn't complain too much, I've been wanting to be closer to work for forever, and I'll be saving a ton of money each month - the room is 400/month, including utilities and internet. For such a great location, this is a fantastic deal.
