"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is an old saying, and I always tend to add that beauty isn't the only thing that is. In recent years I've been working towards constantly reminding myself of this, that ultimately it's all about perspective. Things happen, and some of them will be beyond my will, but how I react to them, how I see them

I've had that happen to me with books that were highly recommended by other writers. All writers are different, stuff that works for some doesn't work for others.
