Location and provenance - in the PastVu link.

Both paintings show Nanking Road - the first one is at the intersection with Chekiang (Zhejiang) Road, the second one - at Tibet Road. The streets are decorated with temporary decorative arches celebrating the victory in 1945.

Imperial War Museum: 1, 2.

For the painting, the artist collated the arch, which was more to the east, close to the intersection of Shanse Road (山西南路), with backdrop made of the famous department stores Sincere and Sun Sun. PastVu.
