Villa at 191 Route Duplex
A new investigation (in Chinese) of the provenance of the villa at former 191 Route Dupleix establishes that the original landlord was R. B. Mauchan, Superintendant Engineer at Kiangnan Dock & Engineering Works. The house, whose address is now 201 Anfu Road 安福路201号, was abundantly photographed in 1946, when it served as the residence of Shanghai mayor K. C. Wu (Wu Guozhen 吴国桢):
