On inspiring cities (1928)

Alfred Döblin, author of Berlin Alexanderplatz, admitted in 1928: "I can write everywhere: at home, on the street, in the restaurant - but really only in Berlin. Without the city I feel distracted."

I'd have to change "in Berlin" to "about Shanghai."
