Me too ! Here in Alicante in Spain we have Chinese grocery shops but the instructions for cooking ramen are in Chinese . However , I can "play it by ear" and make passable food - delicious ! I also have plenty of Chinese cookery books .
You make me so ashamed. I can't cook. I'm glad you enjoy Japanese/Chinese food. For me, I love my rice and noodles! Hainanese chicken rice, organic rice with sitr-fried vegeatbles and fishball rice noodles are my must-haves every week. Btw, I believe Japanese ramen came about under the influence of the Chinese 'lamian' and the same is said for pasta.
ahhhh...you must be looking forward this weekend then??? hmm...i wonder when can i eat ramen. ramen is just too expensive and it doesn't fit my weekly budget.
In that case, let's save up for the real thing in Japan! I actually visited a ramen 'museum' in Yokohama with my friend and we ate different kinds of ramen from all over Japan. We, too, can do it together one day!
