Nooo it's ok...take ur time. ♥ Ah...hehe~ (i.e. I like how you said 'a restless mind'.) A 10-day meditation retreat? Wow, where'd you go...on a trip? My thoughts of a meditation retreat is going to an onsen in Japan for relaxation. ^.~ *wink*

I stayed in my home country but the course was held on an offshore island, St John's Island. I'm not sure if meditation is relaxing because it requires concentration. It was refreshing, though. And I do find it useful.
For you, I guess having a restless mind comes with the territory of being a mother Always worrying about your little one. When I left for the course, I forgot to inform my mum and couldn't access my phone because the management kept it, and I received 3 calls (with stern turning to angry tone) from my mum in the voicemail. Poor mothers.

An offshore island, St. John's Island...where's that? Sounds kind of tropical. :D

St John Island is an off Singapore. It's definitely tropical. There's a tiny strip of beach but we weren't allowed to leave the compound or sunbathe.
The meditation was far from relaxing. We meditate/concentrate and our breaths or bodily sensations for most of the day. And for three one-hour a day, we were encouraged to meditate motionless. But I think it's great training for stilling the mind.
