was out really early this morning for a seminar at some far and ulu place and it was utterly disappointing. it was supposed to talk about the fourth industrial revolution (which relates to my current project), but all i got was badly-accented coffeeshop-talk and youtube vids of the alibaba man. what a complete waste of time, and my precious Saturday morning!

so knowing that i'd be out for the day, i brought along my isetan and capitamall vouchers and headed to town after the seminar. thought i could do some damage-free shopping, but it was futile. nothing caught my eye, and anything i could think of buying will end up being a surplus to what i already have. guess these vouchers will probably be best used at the supermarkets heh. highlight of the day was stocking up my fave tidbits at the korean supermarket at far east plaza. gosh it's been years since i've been to that place, and it's in a pretty sad state. lots of empty shops around, the crowd was sparse and there was no vibrance or energy at all; a far cry from how i remembered the place used to be. stark reminder of how easy it is to be left behind if no longer relevant.

shopping, rant
