and so, CNY is officially done-due for me, as my msia relatives came out on Day Two instead of the second week. once again i was subjected to the regular grilling, but it was far more constructive than what i got from my dad's side of the family (will touch on that in a separate entry). anyway it has been a running gag between me and my mum, on the news article where a high-flying woman in her 40's spent $7800 just to rent a fake boyfriend home to appease her parents and relatives during the festive season:
Me: mummy! look! $7800 leh! i can go Japan TWICE with that amount! or even THRICE if i get cheap air tickets!!!
Mum: wah! so much money?!
Me: hannor! crazy right?!
Mum: don't bother to rent a boyfriend, just give me the $7800. i promise i will zip my mouth. *wide beam*
yes, that's my very practical mum at work haha!
and yes, life can finally go back to it's regular pace. hit the gym three nights in a row to work off all that extra calories from the feasting, and shall resume my thrice-a-week workout routine next week. then to make time during weekends to do some house-keeping again. managed to sell off a pamphlet and muffler-towel early this week, hopefully this good streak of luck will continue to roll! time to pack the "thicker" clothes like flannel and knits, cos i doubt i'd get to wear them for the next few months cos the temperatures are picking up. flannel and knits are only good during the rainy season where the aircon system at work is an uncontrollable BITCH.
was out to Somerset yesterday to meet a local buyer for some fliers, oh my gosh how long have i not stepped foot there! it suddenly felt like going to Shinjuku or something haha! had alot of fun just browsing around since i can't quite afford anything right now, and there was a Tokyu Hands (ridiculously-overpriced!) pop-up store at Isetan Wisma. apparently a Tokyu Hands outlet is going to open here in Westgate, possibly between mid-end 2014, and if that's true i'd probably never step foot beyond Jurong East for shopping ever again. :D
