thank goodness the money changer took back all the RMB i had, and all in all i just lost like, $2.70? no point in keeping currency that i won't be using for quite a while (i hope!). anyway i needed whatever cash i can get right now, cos i just ordered the 7-day JRP and it'd be delivered to my office this Friday, $364 cash-on-payment. a pretty decent price yeah? thank goodness i still have enough in my Paypal to pay off the data SIM card to use in Japan. pocket wifi works out to be more expensive so it's better off for me to take the 1GB data card instead, plus it's really more convenient and no fear of losing the pocket wifi (which carries a penalty of 40000yen if lost!).
anyway i'm really stoked that i managed to net some earnings off the Chengdu trip! thanks to my very-modest expenditure i saved back some of the meal allowance that was granted for the whole trip lol. as a reward i thought of spending it on a new tablet, and since i'm just looking for a portable media player i figured that even HP or Acer could cut it. i don't need some fancy quad-core high-end device, just one of Android-platform that can download the MX Player app and comes with a micro-SD expansion slot. or maybe i should put aside the decision until after my Japan trip. or when i get my AWS in Dec. hmmmm.
