remember my credit card fiasco two years back? it struck again, only this time it was my Paypal account that got hacked, and i lost USD$631 worth of balances! i got this weird email thingy on my phone, saying that i sent payment. tried to log-in to Paypal, password was not valid! managed to change my password, MY BALANCES WERE EMPTIED. in three separate transactions, on the same day (26/Jun), and to three different addresses. TOTAL FREAKOUT. quickly raised dispute transactions, called up the bank to block the debit card linked to my account (WTF WAS I THINKING?!!??!), and removed all banking and cards tied to my Paypal account. then called the bank again to check if there were any floating transactions put in via Paypal, thankfully there wasn't.
my mind was in a complete whirl that i just shut off everyone at work and called up Jun and esther and just freaked out over the phone. OMFG I HAVE THIS ACCOUNT FOR SEVEN YEARS AND I STILL GET FRAUDED?!?!?!?!? outrageously-WTF!!!!! and it was funds raised painstakingly from selling beloved stuff, all for the sake of future lives in Japan. called in to the local Paypal office, guy said it'd take ten days for them to investigate and if it's ruled in my favour (IT BETTER BE!!!), then i'd get my money back. hopefully because i caught the fraud almost-immediately, the investigation turnaround will be faster?
I WANT MY MONEY BACK OMGGGGGGGG. the sheer thought of losing that amount of money is just...... excruciating heartache. *bawls*
