posting this first entry from my new laptop, a Fujitsu LifeBook L1010 in bright pink! yes i finally caved in to buying my own laptop, and my top criteria was colour over everything else haha. spec, what spec? anyway i brought home this baby from Sitex on Friday with the help of my colleagues. we took half-day leave and thronged the massive crowds to look at all the pink laptops available, and it came down to either this Fujitsu one or the Sony Vaio. there was a very pretty NEC one, but i didn't like the black keypad. finally decided on this one as the Vaio was too girly-cute saccharine pink. next time i shall place all my pink appliances together for a photo! :D

freebies? free upgrade to 3GB RAM, Lexmark printer/copier/scanner, SanDisk 8GB thumbdrive, SonicGear headset, keypad protecter and skin wrap. anyone wants the Lexmark thing? i have no need for it, but i'm not sure if it came with ink catridges or not.

but connecting to the internet was a nightmare. i spent almost half hour on the phone with a singnet helpdesk girl to re-setup everything, all the modem configurations and stuff. luckily things came through in the end, or else i'd really throw a hissy fit and demand for a technician to come and settle it personally.

so yes my life is finally back to normal haha. you have no idea how difficult is has been without internet at home. XD
