I know I haven't written in a while. It's been mostly due to lack of time/motivation to write, not for lack of material. The girl I've been seeing lately has also contributed positively to my not having time. She's rad though, and we've been seeing each other for just about a month now (which is twice as long as my last official relationship lasted, heh), though we're not official. It's kind of nice just going with stuff, though I have caught myself referring to her as "my girlfriend" in my head, which I shouldn't do until it's made official, but whatever. She is pretty (sans makeup, actually, as she doesn't even particularly wear any), blonde, popping blue eyes, soft, has tig ol' bitties (also, finds the song amusing), likes baking cupcakes, and is also really into baseball and Husky football. She was gone this weekend though down to SoCal to visit her crazy family. Also, she really enjoys couch time, and I've been teaching her Dominion which she's been liking as well. :)
I massively slept in today. I feel somewhat guilty about this, but I must've had at least like, seven different, long dreams. Though right now I only really kinda remember three, cos that's how many I focused on trying to remember, before again rolling over and going back to sleep. Apparently I'm more prone to remembering dreams I have right before I actually get up.
Without further ado...
The first one I recall involved me being back at L&C for some weird reason. It was rainy, and night time, and they had been doing more construction, so the ways I wanted to go across campus, because I was leaving, were inaccessible. I'd driven down in my new Si, and I'd ended up having to back-in park on quite a hill. It was quite ridiculous in fact, and I could've sworn I wouldn't be able to park where I did, but somehow it worked, even though it looked like were my parking break to give out how the front of my car would smash into the ground.
Once I got to the car, for some strange reason my administrator was there and he wanted to drive. He had someone else there too, so I sat in the passenger seat and the other person was in the back. I then remember him zipping around an redlining my car up on a mountain (yet well-paved) road - again in the dark and rain. He looked like he was enjoying himself, and despite the situation I wasn't particularly worried. Anyhow, strange.
The next dream I remember had me in a mansion or really nice house, where I was apparently about to fight Dracula. I found his room but he was asleep in the coffin, and I guess I had to actually open it to get him to wake up. So instead of being direct about it (cos I was missing my whip, all Castlevania style) I checked out the rooms. He had a back door that opened out into a backyard where there were vineyards across the way (it was all one-story, which I thought was odd). In one part of the room there was a pink sheet of paper taped to a wall mirror that read something like "Bat teleport here", and there was a symbol on the ground in front. There was another pink piece of paper taped on the skinny closet door nearby. I found his shoes near the bed, and they were, while most likely expensive Italian-made leather with actual diamond studs, very gaudy and I thought to myself, "Wow, these are extremely gay," like the kind a drag queen might wear. Why Dracula was not asleep fully clothed I do not know, but I figured it'd slow him down if I he couldn't find his shoes, so I went out the back door and chucked them into the vineyard, one in each direction.
After that I noticed outside that there were wooden blinds. On the outside instead of the inside. That was weird. So I figured I'd open 'em a little bit to see if that'd let some sunlight in his room, which could further aid me in our fight. When I did that though, apparently he woke up and started moving about the house (presumably looking for his shoes). I went back inside and found a whip in a hankerchief box, though it was rather short and when I finally did get a chance to fight Dracula, it merely seemed to annoy him, much like a cat toy to the face. That was enough of a distraction though that I was able to run out another part of the house, I think while he was still looking for his shoes. That was the end of that dream.
The third one involved my high school where I now work - there was some kind of sports assembly/try-outs thing going on, either for wrestling or soccer or both. Maybe it was P.E. I'm not sure. I was in charge though, and there were guys from my high school class back in the day in it, including my brother, who was being kind of a dick along with one of my students from last year who was on the wrestling team. The scene briefly changed to us at dinner and me griping to Mom about how I was supposed to be in charge and how he wasn't cooperating. Then it changed back to a soccer match on a field the grass of which was rather overgrown, also at night - apparently it was the high school where I now work and our boys team was playing in the finals. Once I noticed where I was, one of our guys, the name of whom I recognized, scored the final goal ending the game at either 3-2 or 4-2. We won, and those who were in the stadium went nuts. Each of our players got one of those red, white, and blue half-bullseyes, the kind you find in the South to decorate for things like 4th of July (though the center is usually red). They guys were waving them about and there were pictures being taken.
I had others as well, which were also rather vivid, but unfortunately I do not remember them now.
In other news, apparently I enjoy sleeping in for 9hrs when I can. Ooh, and I had clean sheets on the bed last night, and the temperature is finally dropping 1 degree C, so I think that was additional encouragement for me to stay in bed as opposed to getting up, despite how my initial alarm went off four hours ago as of the time of writing this. Heh.
I do have stuff to do today though:
*yoga (opted to write this while it was still fresh, first)
*vacuum
*lesson plans
*syllabi revisions (including printing, which means I DO need to go down to school today, ungh)
*groceries
*one last load of laundry (whites)
*...and I wrote down for myself to run
I'm trying to have a reasonable, more possible than not (hopefully) exercise routine this year. Initially, in a perfect world, I'd opt to do my free weights M/W/F and cardio (run) on T/Th, but I don't think that'll happen. So instead, I'm aiming to do weights at least two out of those three days and cardio on one of 'em (including Sa if need). So far I've been pretty good! I'm also trying to get back into doing yoga every morning - and since I have a 1st Period class as opposed to my planning period this year, I HAVE TO be at school slightly earlier in order to make copies before school (if I don't get them done before I leave), which requires my getting up AT 4:30AM. I've been good at least about getting to bed between 9:30-10:00, so at least that's going for me, even though I've been sleeping in on my days off.
As far as school goes, I think it'll be a good year. I wish more people would've signed up for 3rd Year though. I've only got officially 3. :( Though, had everyone who wanted to take it been able to, I would've had 6 or 7. I'm teaching some of the students who can't after school, so that's kind of neat. Hard to teach/practice with only 3 students for 50 minutes though...
Okay, time to stretch, eat, teeth brushery/face washery, do my last load of laundry, and then get to school to work on the stuff I need to do before coming back and vacuuming, going grocery shopping, making dinner, and lifting! Hope you've all been well. :)
One more thing, randomly had
this song pop into my head last night. Huh.
