Caught up in all the excitement over the new SD16 girl and the One-Offs, I totally neglected to notice the
Tokyo Boys Story dolls that were on display! (^^;) So, I took some time to take more photos:

The Party
Towards the end of the party, after the One-Off lottery, there was a fun game of bingo. The prizes they had to give were
Mini Super Dollfie Hewitt,
Super Dollfie 13 Tony, 7 Sei-Tenshi, dress sets, and wigs. They also added several postcard sets so that there would be more winners. If you got bingo you could then randomly pick a folded piece of paper that had the name of the prize you had won. Let me tell you, if you didn't already read it in a previous entry of mine, the Sei-Tenshi, or "Spirit Angels," are what I was looking forward to most. :) I first learned about them in an article in the magazine
Haute Doll, and I bought that particular issue just because of their cute little photos. (^_^;) I thought they were so adorable! If not for the fact that they are not-for-sale, I would have bought one already. They are only given away at special events, such as the Dolpa. I thought about the little angels several times leading up to the party, and I think it's safe to say that almost everyone in attendance had their heart set on winning one!
So, before the bingo started, they had us practice saying "Reach!" (called out when you're one number away from winning) and "Bingo!" Then the game started, and guess what? I got the first bingo!! =D So I went up, and they checked my numbers. When it was confirmed, Mr. Shigeta held out a bag with the prize slips, and told me to please select one. Can you guess what I was thinking? ;) I then dug around, picked a paper, handed it over to Mikey, and they announced my prize:
POSTCARD SET! ざんねん! BOO! So close!! (T_T) *Shakes fist and other such nonsense.* (Yeah, I actually did shake my fist, laughing, sometime later when I was back at my seat. LOL!) If I was just a little bit luckier, I could have gotten one of these:
A Sei-Tenshi being held by someone sitting next to the lucky winner.
A little later, another person at our table got bingo, too. There was a bit of confusion about it at first because they didn't know that was one of the prizes and had to get one from the sales table. Her prize was a Dollfie encyclopedia. So, all in all, with the bingo and One-Off lottery, half of the people at our table ended up winning something. I said our table was lucky! ;)
Because the party had started late, there didn't end up being a question and answer period as planned. So after a final from our hosts, we were each given a small gift bag. Inside was some very nice smelling Tenshi no Sato sakura incense with burner and a small gift for our dolls. I got a small ring with a red stone (possibly for a future SD?), and my friend got a necklace with a winged heart charm. She let me have her gifts, so now my Akasha has a new necklace. (^^) Also along with the gifts, there was a note from Mr. Shigeta, hand signed, thanking us for coming. :)

The Dolpa quite a fun and enjoyable experience. :) I wasn't sure how it would be since I'm fairly new to BJD's and the community. Actually, I'm not the type who is into fan conventions or things of that sort-sometimes it's a bit much for me (^^;;)-probably because I have too many interests that I can't concentrate solely on or be totally knowledgeable in one particular thing. (^^;) So sometimes I feel left out. :( It was a very friendly atmosphere at the party, though, and it was nice to see so many BJD's in person and to meet the owners and people who love dolls. I hope I have the opportunity to go to a similar event in the future. :)
