▌ Day 30 - One last moment
On September 30, 2010, about 43.6 seconds left of Game 2 of the UAAP Men's Senior Basketball Finals, Ateneo vs FEU, someone passed Ryan Buenafe the ball. He stood still at the 3-point line, glanced to the side for a quick second, before suddenly scoring the decisive 3-point shot. 64-59, with 22.1 seconds left. The whole team ran to the court, our whole block (Upper B, section 408) was screaming their heads off, jumping onto the chairs, almost falling off the balcony. 2 seconds left in the game, FEU scored a triple, but it wasn't enough. The Ateneo Blue Eagles won, only the fifth team to ever do so, and for the first time in 70 years (NCAA), a 3-peat championship, 65-62.
AHHH I'm so happy. SO VERY HAPPY. ♥ I've watched UAAP games before, always supporting Ateneo, but this is my first as an actual Atenista. Watched with the ever-amazing Block T. ♥ I FELT SO NOISY HAHA. I was screaming as hard as I could, even if I was sick.
Ateneo is really heavy on cheers/noise. One time during the game, the "GET THAT BALL" chant was just. So. Loud in the Coliseum that it even seriously threw FEU off. They complained. XD (Actually, there were even Atenistas in the FEU side of the Coliseum. Idk why LMAO) Fierce. ♥
Anyway, anyway. It was a really worrying game.... especially the first half, I was like, DUDE WHY ARE OUR SHOTS NOT GOING IN :(((( but then they managed to secure a lead sometime in the 3rd quarter and IT STARTED THERE. Yaaay! ♥ Buenafe MVP ^:)^
Buenafe (non-verbatim): I'll make us go for a 5-peat, for every year that I'm playing!
We totally have a chance, with Keifer and Slaughter coming in next season.
Anyway, after the game, I met up with h311ybean and guess who I found downstairs. :T Wesley Gonzales! And he looked smaller. But it's only because I grew taller since the last time I saw him (like, 5 years ago, when he was still playing for Ateneo; I had a crush on him back then HAHA). We took a picture hugging ♥ (and it was so embarrassing because the pic was blurry and we had to do it a few times, but he was nice about it hee hee). I remember meeting and hugging him back then, too~
I can't believe he's 30 now.... |D
Pizza Hut for dinner and then Thanksgiving Mass at Gesu. The Bonfire (held traditionally every year that we are champions) is on Sunday, and "because it's the last time I can do this as your President, there will be no classes on Monday." (Fr. Ben) YESSSS ♥
Saw Lex at Gesu. We were both O_O at each other before death-grip-hugging & chattering nonstop~ ♥ I MISS MY BABY GIRL. Haven't seen her in like, half a year. /heartbreak. Love you. ♥ Bonfire date. ♥
