Got to school at 7AM and hung out with some people while we waited/fixed stuff for deployment. We were told that we were going to Angono, but then it became Tanay. Then they said that Tanay could potentially be dangerous (heard they saw dead bodies) so they didn't let students come with. Went to Village East, Karangalan, and a sitio I didn't know existed nearby our village gate.
Mostly visited AA students in Village East. The mud/water rose to about the 2nd story, but they were perfectly fine now, and beyond capable of bringing themselves up. Wasn't really too happy about that part of the trip--we didn't do anything useful at all.
Karangalan is really where we were needed. Apparently, they haven't received any relief efforts from anyone except us, today, while the village right beside them was evacuated and cleaned up a few days ago. :| I felt bad about that, so we gave them as much as we could, even if some of them weren't the easiest people to handle.
Went back to school around noon to fix more stuff. Ara, Leoren and I were planning to deploy again, but we let the others who haven't gone anywhere yet, go. Meanwhile, random waiting and lazing around was boring. Watched a movie on my iPod. xD because i didn't want to look elsewhere, because i have this unnatural tendency to look for her when i know she's around. wthhhh why did you show up :(
So! We signed up for the last trip of the day, to a sitio that's cut through by a river. So you can imagine the damage that a large flood could cause. We had to cross the river~ :D Which was uncomfortable at first, because sand got in my shoes... :( But eh, I'm glad we got to help them. They were nice, and the kids were still so upbeat.
I also gained some new friends. :D Extremely amusing car ride makes you bond, yo~ We were all chatting until like, 6:30PM until I needed to drive some people home.
Fun fun fun day! :) Tired, but oh so fulfilling. I'm in one of the best moods I can remember being in in a while.
Don't think I can go tomorrow, though. They were thinking of deploying to one of the most hard-hit villages (Provident, Marikina; extremely desolate, mud/trash still everywhere, dead bodies in trashcans, robbers taking advantage), but the point-person isn't replying about the time we need to be there, and I'm actually really exhausted. xD;;
I can't imagine how life is going to get back to normal after this.
IN UNRELATED NEWS: DERRRRRRRRP. KIM BUM (/points to icon) IS IN THE PHILIPPINES. I was screaming at the TV for like five minutes when I found out. Parents are freaked out. BUT MAN, WHY IS HE SO CUTE. WHY. :| Damniiiittt~ he should volunteer~~ XD
