History Has Been Made
Stayed up for Obama's inauguration at 1-2am. But I still woke up at 6am. ._.; Meh.
Anyway. The thing itself was really nice. People were walking really slowly, but I guess that was something to preserve the solemnity of the event, in a way.

And uhmm. The judge that administered Obama's oath messed up. He paused at the wrong times, and jumbled up word order, so Obama was actually trying not to chuckle because he practiced it really well. But he followed. o:
His speech wasn't the most memorable thing in the world, but it was great just the same. "We chose hope over fear." I really really hope he makes a good president. Hope is the worst thing to be crushed.
But the poem after his speech SUCKED. Wth?
The closing prayer was way better. I forgot what civil rights movement those slogans were from (uhh 60's, right?), but they were great.
*eta* Rofl my lip hurts. Moon accidentally elbowed me in the face yesterday, so my lip kinda 'sploded D;
