(posting this here b/c i'm not posting right now and also i don't usually put surveys in my journal)
The Ultimate Death Survey
What do you think happens after you die? we go somewhere else, a different dimension or reality of "existence" that doesn't require a physical body and probably emphasizes spirituality more.
Do you believe in heaven? yeah
Do you believe in hell? yeah but half the time i'm pretty sure it's on earth, also i think people put themselves there, god or whoever doesn't SEND you there
Do you think you will be judged after you die? "judged" is a wrong word for it, i think it's likely that "God" or some spiritual force or entity will review our life and show us stuff we learned, mistakes, good as well as bad
How many people would attend your funeral? who knows, i can name off 4-5 ppl i'm pretty sure would show up, beyond that it's really a matter of how much they want to publicize the proceedings.
Would you rather that people cry or laugh at your funeral? whatever they feel like doing is fine, if they want to skip the whole thing and go for donuts i'd probably understand that too
What's better? A shot in the head or downing pills? how about i try both and let you know then.
What should be written on your tombstone? hell if i know (or care), it would be nice if they spelled my name right, beyond that i wish it could just be a chalkboard or etch a sketch
Would you rather die childless or divorced? p00p
Do you want to die in the morning, afternoon, or night? what, do i have to make an appointment for the reaper to come by? and let me guess, he won't be able to find my street and will have to call for directions to my house.
If you had a million dollars to leave, who would you leave it to? my family, but in a nice safe responsible-lawyer estate-planned manner so they couldn't squander it.
What kind of flowers do you want at your funeral? i'd rather have the flowers now when i'm alive thanks
On your deathbed, which moment will you most remember? i think i'm going to be kind of busy at that point and probably not up for a trip down memory lane. also, if i did happen to remember anything it's probably one of those "private" dealies so i wouldn't tell anyway
Have you ever watched someone die? no, just pets
What's the most gruesome death you can imagine? ick. next question
How often do you think about death? oh a few times a day or something like that. i used to think about it more when i wasn't so busy
Is fear of dying your number one fear? probably not. i used to think i wasn't afraid of dying at all but somebody mugged me once and i found out i did have a survival instinct. so i guess i am afraid of it some, or maybe "resistant" to it would be a better word.
Do you believe in reincarnation? yeah in some form, but not in any of the "classical" or "organized religion" ways of thinking. i think it probably happens but i don't know as it's a requirement, it might be something some souls choose to do and others not, it's all in what you're trying to learn/accomplish.
Have you ever wished someone you loved were dead? yes.
Do you consider life short or long? it seems pretty long at this point
Do you think you have a soul? yes.
Assisted suicide for a terminally ill person is: a private matter that the govt really needs to butt out of regardless of which side they're supporting.
If you were cremated, where would you like your ashes? i really don't want to be cremated so it's a moot point. if somehow it happened anyway, just throw them in lake erie
Would you choose to be immortal, if you could be? no. the amount of time we spend down here is enough.
i put you back on because you said you actually enjoyed reading my inane screed. i think the whole f(r)iends list thing is sort of dopey/irrelevant, but if someone actually bothers to express interest i generally don't drop 'em.
i actually do read a lot of journals of people who used to be on my f(r)iends list, just more sporadically and only when i have time. but i usually only comment on the people who are on my list, because i discovered a couple years back that many people get weirded out when you drop them but still comment. *shrug*
oh, that's nice of you. i do enjoy reading your stuff, so i just left you on my list and figured it'd be okay if i didn't get to read the protected stuff.
