My name is Anthony Mariano Valdez, and This is a diary entry for tuesday, March 18/ Wednesday, March 19.
Today I went to the San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Facility and saw lots condoms, bicycle parts, and tampon applicators (in addition to shit) at the facility. It may interest you to know that this is water from sewers, not storm drains... It comes from People's homes, so to see bike parts is pretty impressive
During the same class, we went to the Pomona Valley Humane Society and discussed human and pet overpopulation and the euthanization of animals etc. I was uncomfortable being there as I had just been there two weeks ago to have my dog's remains disposed of. I had Him since i was seven, he had been an institution in my life and with his death, I've been feeling slightly automatonical.
The are three cute boys at school that I stare at. One is in my German Class and another is in my Biology Lab class. I like these boys because i banter with them and make them laugh, but the last boy just works at the cafe and is kind of lame but nice on the eyes.
I read an essay by David Sedaris in the New Yorker today, where he talks about his love of spiders. It starts of promising but sort of fizzles out. My favorite part is when he speaks about people heart broken over a cocker spaniel on the roof of a home after hurricane Katrina hit, but their indifference to the old woman clinging on to a chimney. Heh. Today, I had my first real moustache.
