Out of Boredom comes...
Anger? Aggravation?
Yup... thats right out of boredom for me is Anger and Aggravation. Why you might ask? Well I shall enlighten you to what has been going on for two years, since I started going to school here at John Brown. (Roxey20 you have heard this several times I know... but I feel that I need to get it out because he has gone to far.... and you dont have to respond tis okay since I know your feelings on this.)
And now the story:
The leader from anime club from last year decided that it was too much of a responsiblity for him to do so he handed it off to the unofficial vp of the club. Now this guy is one of the most annoying Fanboys ever! He has been trying to become the leader of the club since he started going to the meetings/showings. Thats cool and all. But at the price of not pleasing the female population of the anime club.
This year he sent out a schedule at the beginning of this semester. There were a few very IFFY anime's that he was showing. Especially the first one, 'Genshiken'. What this anime is about is a college freshman joining a otaku club. BASICALLY this club is full of pervs. Yes the show doesn't show any nudiity or anything like that but is all eludes to it. And if you all don't know... We go to a Christian college. Now do you think it is a good idea to be showing this on a Christian campus? I say no... And I told him before he finalized the schedule that, that show was not appropriate. And he showed it anyway.
So a couple of the girls (There are six of us total) went to the first night to see what this show was about. They left after the first episode. They were offended. One of them sent the leader of anime night an email telling him how appalled, she was by the show. He was in turn said that it was part of the otaku culture. Yea it is but we as a group DO NOT need to see it. Especially since the show was about a group of GUYS. You can imagine how uncomfortable the girls felt. And he didnt take any of this into consideration. I apparently am the only one who will still talk to him on line or at lunch. And I gave him this information. He seemed okay with it at first but that changed when I read his blog on myOtaku.com. He said that we were being childish. Maybe we are but we dont want to asociate with those guys who find that kind of anime entertaining.
Might I add that he is bashing Ouran High School Host Club as well. Saying that it is the same as the show that he showed. Since it is about a girl who crossdress as a guy and has a dad that crossdressed as a woman, and has twinscest in it... He also says that we only want to watch shows that we have already seen or want to watch stuff that we can 'fangirl' over. Might I add that he fanboys over all the shows that he watches....
Anyway going on a couple weeks ago he aloud me to show Pretear. Out of the six of us girls I am the only one that likes the anime... the rest dont really like it at all. And he was sadly informed that all the girls would show up for this one. He was pissed that only one (being me) showed up to watch the anime. I informed him that I was the only one that liked the anime... I dont know what his response will be but it probably wont be a pretty one.
Anyway This rant might be a bit random and not make sense but I had to get it out is all...
