(no subject)
It's been a while since I updated; with everything that's been going on around here lately, updating my journal just hasn't been a priority. The good news is that Rona and Shannon were found alive and in one piece and are back home. However, both girls were deeply traumatized and it will take some time for them to recover. Even worse, the damn vampire that did this to them got away. What I wouldn't give to get my hands on her; it's been a while since I've wanted to hurt someone this bad. Figures they'd be old acquaintances.
For the moment, things are quiet. I doubt that will last long, it never does, but for right now I'm just enjoying the peace. Think I'll take a walk. It's a nice brisk day and I ought to enjoy the fall colors while there's still a few leaves left on the trees.
It's funny watching the others get a taste of actual changing seasons for the first time. They're already complaining about the cold, wait till they meet the middle of January. Winters in the Midwest are mild compared to back home. I don't think Xander would last five minutes in a New York winter. Of course, there are other native New Englanders around here who might appreciate a nice sunny day like this; maybe she'd like to join me for that walk.
