Steve and Tony, Gift-Giving Battle nefhiriel August 1 2014, 17:57:52 UTC
Tony likes to give extravagant gifts to his friends. Steve likes to give gifts, too - but they tend to be the kind of thoughtful, insightful, low-budget gifts that show how much he really gets his friends and the things that mean the most to them.

Cue a gift-giving battle that starts small, and escalates into Outright War - because Tony is Tony, and Steve is more competitive than anyone suspects. :D

Take it wherever you like!

Since the battle of New York, the world has become fascinated with the Avengers; there's even a whole line of merchandise for them. How do they react to things like action figures and swim trunks with their faces on them?

Ideas:
Does Tony buy a whole set of action figures just to leave them all over his lab in odd or compromising positions? Does he buy everyone Iron Man shirts for Christmas? Does Clint own a pair of Hulk fists and pretend to smash people with them? Does Thor have a plastic Captain America shield he displays in his room to honor his shield brother? The possibilities are endless.

And if you prefer something more serious - how does Bucky feel when he finds out they've made little villain action figures of the Winter Soldier? How does Steve react to his best friend being cast as the villain in toy commercials?

"...how does Bucky feel when he finds out they've made little villain action figures of the Winter Soldier?"

*wibble* That is...so sad.

I want it.

Bucky and Thor nefhiriel August 2 2014, 13:17:50 UTC
I don't know why, but I've had this need to see how they'd get on. I could see everyone expecting him to be the most abrasive when it comes to dealing with Bucky, but actually he's the best at treating Bucky like a real human being. He doesn't tip-toe around the issue of what happened to him, but neither does he treat Bucky like he's made of glass.

So, yeah, Thor being awesome - and Bucky coming out of his shell, and Steve being delighted about it all.

(Can there be too many recovering!Bucky prompts? No? I DIDN'T THINK SO. :D)

That could be weirdly adorable.
Once they get used to each other, I can see Bucky finding it strangely reassuring that he has one friend he doesn't have to worry about hurting even if he slips into full Winter Soldier mode.

I hadn't though of that - Thor could handle it Bucky if he had a Winter Soldier flashback, and I think that would reassure Bucky a lot. (Steve could handle Bucky, too, of course - but he's already proven that he has a hard time fighting back when it comes to Bucky...)

Because I got total Steve and Bucky feelings out of a certain scene in "How To Train Your Dragon 2" - how about an AU where humans and intelligent dragons coexist, and some of the canon characters are dragons? This can be an alternate Earth where most things are the same, except for the necessary changes of a mixed-species society, or a more traditional fantasy setting.
Up to you what kind of dragon lore you use, as long as the dragons have at least human-level intelligence and are capable of getting along okay with humans.
It's also totally up to you what characters you make dragons and which stay human.

Steve and Bucky brotherly goodness roselani24 August 7 2014, 08:34:06 UTC
So its been a long day, no make that a long month and I desperately need some cuddles and friendship goodness. Please writers, how about some Steve and Bucky brotherly goodness...maybe in the form of Steve taking care of a de-aged Bucky by some magical/scientific means?

Anything focusing on these two and their adorable friendship would be lovely!
