Username: ipsius Name/Nickname: Meng Age (optional): 20 Location (optional): I'm from California, but currently in Chicago for university. I miss the fake winters and the happy cows on the hills. >___> How did you get into Avengers? (Comics? Movies?): Lol. lol. lol. So I have no Avengers-cred at all. My best friends started reading the comics and getting really excited about Avengers coming out, and I had no idea what was going on. I'd seen Iron Man and that was about it. They told me to go watch Thor and Captain America, so I did. Captain America was a pretty solid film, but Thor blew me away for one reason. Which sort of leads to my next point... Who is your favorite character?: Loki. Loki. Loki. Oh goodness. It was ridiculous. A day after I watched Thor, I'd already decided that Loki was on my top ten favorite characters list. He's just so sad, and his psychological state is so fascinating, and the fact that he has an entire mythically-inspired backstory makes everything even better. Loki is a little shit sometimes and commits devastating acts of destruction, but I really like how it is also true that fate and universe have given him an awful hand. He reminds me a bit of all those heroes in Greek tragic plays, railing against their fates. ... I have a lot of feelings about Loki. Basically. Fandom contributions: Er. I am very new, so nothing much yet. .______. However! I have a fandom Tumblr that is basically entirely dedicated to Loki at this current time: here. I also make graphics, and once I have enough time, I will make buckets and buckets of Avengers graphics. Favorite Ships: Loki/Everyone (except Thor, because mental/emotional incest freaks me out), with an especial love for Loki/Happiness, Loki/Tragedy, Loki/Self-esteem and Stable Identity. But seriously, Loki/Natasha, Loki/Tony, Loki/Darcy, Loki/Sif are all really hot. From stuff Tom Hiddleston has said in interviews, I get the impression that the Loki and Black Widow confrontation is going to be particularly interesting, and I cannot wait. Other fandoms: I'm not actively in any of these at the moment, but I've liked Naruto, Bleach, Kingdom Hearts, Lord of the Rings, Sandman, Doctor Who, and BBC Sherlock. I'm going to start watching Legend of Korra (sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender) soon, though, and I think that's going to cause an eruption in my internet life as well. What else is on your journal?: Personal life, college, applying to med school. Poems that I've liked. Thoughts about books I've read. Sometimes politics. Also. Suddenly-inspired meta-pieces on the inner lives of fictional characters. Anything else:
(by Allinye) I'm so sorry. I just. Can't stop. >____>
Oooh, who's your favorite Doctor Who character? I relate to Martha the most (uh, besides the unrequited love part), but Donna was the most fun. Ten's my favorite, hee.
I read Lord of the RIngs in fifth grade, and I basically lived and breathed it all the way up to early high school. The intensity of my feelings for that world is unbelievable.
I'm sooooo not going to lie Rory will always have a special place in my heart! ;) lol I think my fav doctor is 11. I actually started with him before I watched the others. You know that saying you'll always remember your first doctor? That fits me perfectly!
