Steve/Tony, Tony's tired of fighting anonymous July 30 2012, 16:39:39 UTC
After taking care of his company, developing new tech for Avengers, SI and Shield, press conferences, charity benefits, debriefings, meetings, battles and missions, Tony's exhausted. Yet another battle occurs and the Avengers get beaten up like crazy. Then win, but they're all exhausted and Tony especially. When they're called out again, they go and Tony gets knocked out of the sky.

Steve finds him and tries to get him to get up, but Tony can't. All he can do is collapse against Steve and tell him he doesn't want to fight anymore. Steve is furious at the fact that they didn't notice how ragged Tony was running.

Steve/Winter Soldier, stuck in a cave of love anonymous July 30 2012, 16:41:00 UTC
Pre-serum Steve, please! Soldier is an assassin during World War II, and he and baby Steve -- who ended up getting into the army somehow -- are trapped somewhere together. Cave, basement, I don't care. I want the classic and cliche predator/prey pairing, and at the end, if/when they escape, Soldier is extremely protective of Steve but is ruthlessly dangerous when it comes to everyone else, like Steve's holding the leash of a rabid dog that will bite everyone but him.

No non-con, please. Dub-con is fine. Doesn't have to be a happy ending!

Loki/Tony, Loki left Asgard when Odin disapproved of Tony and Thor brings him back anonymous July 30 2012, 16:46:50 UTC
Loki met Tony when the latter was in his early twenties and they fell in love. Loki didn't know that Odin was planning his marriage to Sigyn. When he returns to Asgard, he confesses his desire for the mortal and Odin disapproves of him being with a mortal and talks about how Loki has disappointed him. Loki, wanting his father's approval, goes back to earth to break up with Tony, only to see Tony completely distraught at Jarvis' (who Tony considered his father and only remaining family) funeral. Loki can't bring himself to break up with Tony after this tragedy and instead marries him. When Odin finds out, he declares Loki to be no son of his and banishes him. Loki leaves with a heavy heart and he and Tony set up a life of their own on Midgard ( ... )

Tony & Natasha, Stranded on a mission together, friends after all. anonymous July 30 2012, 16:50:42 UTC
Tony & Natasha are stranded on a mission just the two of them. The rest of the Avengers are convinced it'll be a disaster when they finally find them, only to get there and find... The mission taken care of and the two of them bantering and snarking and laughing and being adorably friendly.

The focus I'm looking for is just a little something to explore their relationship rather than anything else, ie. Natasha & Tony's side of the story.

Please no 'Natasha actually doesn't like Tony' fanon (she was smiling at his antics throughout the movie, and bantering with him, and seemed the most worried when he doesn't make it back from the portal), but I'd love to see them build on the rapport they displayed in the movie, possibly Tony learning to understand Natasha?

Seconded! I love their friendship <3 And you're right, in the movie when Tony and Steve were arguing on the helicarrier and he went "Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist", they cut to a shot of Natasha and she looked amused with him. I'd love to read something like this.

Steve/Tony, Steve thinks he's missed another 70 years anonymous July 30 2012, 16:51:22 UTC
Steve crashes a ship again or gets lost in a snowy mountain and falls asleep while maintaining contact with Tony. When he wakes up in a sterile white room with the radio playing and a woman coming in to greet him, he's horrified that he might have slept through another 70 years. He rememebers what happened last and the first words out his mouth are "Where's Tony?" When the woman looks hesitant and she says he's "not here," he is overcome with grief and just tears out of the place, much more violently than he did the last time. He thinks that he's lost another person he loved and what was worse, it was his husband.

But when he gets out, he runs into Tony, who had just been getting some coffee, and knocks him over. Tony just looks up at Steve and makes a crack about missing him too. Turns out Steve just slept for a day or two, but he's too goddamned relieved to care.

Fantastic. ♥ Steve's desperation is so intense and heartbreaking. When he decides that he'll kill himself rather than live through this again... you can really believe it and feel it.

And then, of course, happy ending! ♥
