Every sunday, rain or shine, after a battle as well, Steve got himself up and dressed nicely. A quick cup of coffee and a muffin as well. The sounds of his dog tags and his St. Michael's medallion clinking together as he made his way almost out of the tower but stopped when he heard someone call him. He spun on his heel and saw that it was Thor, dressed in clothing similar to him but his own boots.
"Steven, may I join you on your journey?"
"You sure? I wouldn't mind the company"
"Thank you, now where are you off too, in such early hours?"
"Church, particularly St. Patrick's Cathedral at the moment"
"What is this... St. Patrick's? Is it another home?"
"Of sorts. It is a place of worship, where people of the same faith come together, even some of different faiths"
The two men fell into silence as they had reached the building. Thor looked up at the building, with large towers and windows of colorful glass decorating it, with large wooden doors and a large influx of people entering it. To Thor, the inside looked even more interesting. Large pillars that reached toward curved ceilings with rows of seating one in front of the other, the sounds of shoes clicking amongst the marble floor. It was expensive and very rich in decoration. He followed behind Steven, watching the man kneel before an empty pew and make the symbol of a cross in front of him.
"You don't have to do what I did, you can just sit down...."
"May I ask why you kneeled in front of this seat and stared straight ahead"
"Genuflecting, most Catholics do this to give reverence to the Tabernacle, to the left of us. The Tabernacle is a shrine of sorts that holds things of reverence in the church and for the mass"
Thor watched and sat with Steven in a peaceful quiet, taking in all that surrounded him. It was odd but he looked over to his friend and noticed that his eyes were closed and lips were moving, mumbling something that didn't sound English, but older. He gave him his piece, until music filled the entire church

About a man named Jesus and several other men, about having trust and faith. Friendship; in knowing that someone is there for you, the Lord. He heard the word being repeated various times, and found himself even more curious than before. He watched in confusion and awe, as Steven stood up, than sat down, than stood up again, and sat down, before kneeling once more, with his head down in, once again whispering. He waited until the other people around him were standing and shaking hands, blessing peace upon each other. Thor felt comfortable enough to join in this action with Steven.
"Steven, what comes next? You have been doing most strange things in this place... it is normal?"
"Yes, it comes with years of tradition that this is all done. I've done it for as long as I can remember"
"Ah, I understand tradition well enough"
"Next part is receiving the body and blood of the Lord...not real blood and body, just something that takes the form of""
Thor's face went into shock at hearing the first part of the sentence but warily looked at Steve and looking like he demanded an explanation. He would wait and watched as the people in the church stood up and walked directly to the front, standing in front of the man from earlier, who was handing the people small pieces of food and a sip from one cup. He was more confused than ever before. He saw his friend heading back towards their seating and watched as Steven looked a bit more relaxed and sat down, kneeling to whisper another prayer. Making the sign he made earlier, he motioned for Thor to follow him out. Leaving the house of worship.
