After the events of civil war the Avenger are back at the compound and trying to become a team again. Tony is busy trying to negotiate the accords, deal with Ross, deal with being an Avenger in a fragmented team, deal with the loss of his relationship with Pepper, deal with his company and try and fix Rhodey's legs. All this causes great stress on his already medically fragile body. It should be of little surprise then when he has a heart attack (my new favorite thing in this fandom).

Somehow, someone takes a photo of Tony a short while after when he is in hospital with an oxygen mask and hooked up to machines, and posts it online. The world is appalled first at the fact something this private is now in the public domain and second at how tired, fragile and worn Tony looks, nothing like the larger than life, superhero playboy they are used to.

I would love for the fic to deal with the aftermath of his heart attack- medication and rest not just jumping straight back into his suit. I would love for the Avengers to be appalled that they could have contributed to the stress Tony's body was dealing with that they become very protective and try and make life as easy as possible (much to Tony's annoyance... at first anyway.)

Bonuses-
+ Terrified and protective Rhodey.
++ The heart attack doesn't come during a battle but during a fairly mundane activity such as during a meeting or when cooking dinner etc. But the Avengers are there to witness it.
+++ Tony drifting towards depression because he had a heart attack and feels tired and old and useless.
++++ He is able to be Iron man again.
+++++ The whole incident has shown them all how fragile life is and how no matter what they are a family and a team.
+ 1 million if you can work some Tony/T'challa in the fic. Especially cuddling on the sofa. At the moment I am obsessed with these two and the idea of T'Challa taking care of Tony.

Yes! It's my new favorite thing as well. They fit each other so nicely as they are both powerful men with huge responsibilities and I have to admit I have a bit of a soft spot for pairings with an age difference.

I can just imagine T'challa has been in Wakanda being King and Tony is back at the compound recovering when T'Challa walks into the living room gives his lover a huge cuddle and tells him how scared he was when he saw the image on the news.

I'm working on a fill... It got a little out of hand (the draft is over 100,000 words and the story isn't finished yet) and I had to stop to figure out a few plot things.
