By the end of the week, the place was almost liveable (Tony had ignored the mold in the ceiling) and Tony was well occupied in that short period of time. Natasha and Clint ran point out of the living room, the forest of papers covering the floors and tables, and even sometimes the sofa where they sleep. Bruce co-opted the kitchen for his own mini-laboratory, putting up charts, diagrams and leaving vials and vials of labelled compound stacked up in the fridge next to the beer and leftovers. The only non-scientific purposed appliance in the kitchen was the coffee maker which he allowed with no fuss at all. No one liked dealing with a DE-caffeinated Natasha after the incident in OSAKA THAT WILL NEVER BE SPOKEN OF AGAIN.
Thor was rarely in the apartment, too busy re-conning Erskine's daily movements, and when he was in he always seemed a little lost. Tony builds and builds and builds models after models based on whatever new intel they got that day. If he wasn't busy with the scale models, he was sketching, and if the man wasn't doing that, he was fixing up something in the apartment. Tony said that it keeps his occupied, but the other know that it's only a momentary distraction from the real issue that was plaguing his brilliant mind.
Coulson drops by at the end of week two, and watching Clint trip over himself to be simultaneously in the room and be some place a million miles away was entertaining. It makes Natasha smirk (which was really a smile but she'll never let them know that) and Thor look a little more like himself from three years prior. Bruce merely shakes his head in wonder that their sometimes point and sometimes extractor and forger could be so dense that he couldn't see that Coulson was in love with him too. Tony commiserates the mutual agreement that Clint Barton was a blind fool when it came to love with a bottle of beer. They're in England and he knows he should be seeking out a local pub for a pint of Guinness like... How they used to. Before. But he can't. Not yet.
Apparently that's all my mind is good for tonight. I shall leave you with this and with promises of more to come. Apologies for any inconsistencies and mistakes that you may find. I'm writing with half a consciousness.
