Hi folks,
I suppose a life update is in order at some point, but for now, one more from the "good dreams suck when you wake up from them" category.
I had a dream where my fortunes got progressively better. First, I dreamed that I owned a 2-bedroom house in addition to my apartment. I'd bought it mostly for storage, for $21k. It just got appraised at $185k. I was debating moving into it or selling it. Then, I saw that I'd won the powerball, $200 million dollars. I made sure the numbers matched, made sure it wasn't a dream (heh), and so forth. Then I was told that I'd just won the presidential election. I was going to be the next President of the United States. I was thinking "umm.... that's great, but I don't know much about politics. I have a lot to learn from President Obama in the next few months. I'm nervous"
Then I woke up (so I thought), thinking "oh good, that was just a dream. I didn't really want to be president. Wait, was winning the lottery a dream too? Nope, _that_ was real.. I have my ticket right here and it's a winner. Hang on.. I don't remember buying a ticket for the Powerball recently. That means.. crap, this is just a dream." I woke up again (but not really), saying "Man, that sucks. Not the president and not filthy rich. I'm glad I at least own a house."
Then I woke up for real. I thought about all the things I'd (from my sleep-addled perspective) lost recently, and my first words of the day were, "Aw man... I'm nobody."
It's funny from a certain perspective.
