Math doesn't solve everything 2+2=5 ( My World)

Dec 04, 2006 11:11

I don't know the reason I chose this title for the topic, it just seems reasonable.

In my world it's 2+2=5

In another persons world it's 2+2=4

See, I see things differently rather then some people see things the same as other people.

Other people may have the same equations and same set up for a math problem, but when I do my set up for a math problem it's different.

I was having a conversation with one of my friends yesterday and we were talking about math. How it got brought up to the plate? Were not going to talk about that.

Basically, we were talking about how we won't need a lot of math to do half the things you want to do. Meaning, that we don't need certain types of math. All the shit we learned in highschool is good, but we won't need it.

UNLESS!

You are going into a field that requires all that math, then yes, you need it.

But how many people actually go to college come out with degrees in this stuff?

Do you need to solve a equation when it comes to a cash register?

Ooh, the x=m2 to the hypothesis of a dollar, that means, minus the total quality of the-BITCH, 50 cents! Simple, subtracting!

You do need basic math, and that is it. If your planning on being in retail for the rest of your life, all you need is basic math.

Now, knowing Algebra and Calculus and all other forms of upper math, isn't bad to know. When you have kids one day, Well, One day, maybe your kid will need help in these things. Which isn't bad in that department.

Thats why, if I have a spouse, hopefully he will know much about math, he doesn't have to be the brain of the universe, I'm not asking for all of that. Just know what to do and how to solve it. Makes things a lot easier.

About math, it's not bad knowing the other parts because what if you need a tutor for school? I'm telling you, those in college and taking those Fucking A math classes, you know what I'm talking about. Some of you will need tutors, and the rest of you are saying fuck it, I'm going to learn it myself.

BUT!

I'm just saying sometimes, you don't need all that stuff. Like me, I'm going to be an art teacher because I love art, and I want to teach what I know about art to students that will take to understanding it. Or maybe these students can teach me. I couldn't be a math teacher, I know only basic math, and maybe some geometry, but I was never smart in math.

Anybody can learn it, it just takes time and patience. Math could also be fun in ways that could help people learn. One thing I always hated, people that know how to do a hard problem ( Divine Hard?) Hard as in Algebra2 hard. That stuff. Getting back on topic, basically someone who knows how to do it, but then they have to be a hard ass about it. Or who just makes dumb decisions. I hate that, with a passion.

I don't like when people are book smart, but then they act bad. Like. Ex:

Timmy is ( Im going to make up a word right now) Hardbody Smart @ Calculus, but then is a bad ass to the teacher and classmates.

See what I mean?

Whatever....

That's how I feel about math, anyone can learn if they choose too. Wait, also, back in the day, to present day. Math has advanced. Sometimes people can even get with math that is in present times right now because it's becoming harder.

Math will always be around, but people will always come up with new things. They probably will make up a new text book called "The New Math" Much beyond, all those other maths. This shit will change your life, the new drug for you and your friends too.

I don't know, just being stupid. I don't know.

Anyways, I'm out
