It's pathological.

So I was up pretty late last night for no good reason; I was warm and comfy and in the middle of reading something and Ben was loath to disturb me. Today each of us decided to fix the sleep debt in different ways: Ben skipped band for a nap, and because I had to stay at school to play for TORT rehearsal, I drank a lot of coffee.

Fortunately, we appear to be crashing at the same rate.

TORT (Theatre of the Relatively Talentless) is the law school musical/revue, making fun of, well, law school (and politics and pop culture). I'm playing piano for the pit and NOT music-directing. I'm desperately afraid I'll get bullied into being assistant music director next year, and in charge of it my 3L year, which I. Cannot. Do.

But oh, lord, is it fun playing pop tunes as loudly and rhythmically as possible again. *le sigh* Although I feel like perhaps I'm ill for admitting this . . . I kind of like playing for musicals. Kind of. I do like playing with other people who are with me on treating all the divas and children like they're divas and children, certainly. :)

And damnit, jamming out on "Somebody to Love" (Queen) is fucking worth the pain that repeated triplets at triple-f cause me.
