Non-Profits and NorCal
So...I had this brilliant idea a few months back...work for a non-profit and move to the Bay area? Get out of LA? Take a break from fashion?
Well, that's what I've been doing...
It's been interesting all right. Now I am beginning a new job at Sisley in downtown SF. Training to become the assistant manager. Dressing up cute and selling people clothes for a well established Italian brand.
Finally getting serious about my own sewing clients and collection...after a year off...
Can't believe my fashion show was a year ago.
It's been the year of self realization and establishing self worth. Who knew that a corporate fashion job and the experience of being laid off could throw me into such a downward spiral? Sometimes our pride can really weight us down.
Oh well. All is good now. I love San Francisco (well...the entire Bay area really! Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, Marin...good times!)
I have people who care about me and want me to be here and want to help me stay. :)
