March 9th 3:47 east bound musconetcong river road, Traveling 47 in a 30 MPH zone, three extra passengers than allowed. Court date, march 31.
I didn’t let my parents know of my tickets until today because I knew they would react the way they did "we're paying THIS much for your sisters wedding, we're paying THIS much to redo the bathroom, we will be paying THIS much to put you through college!!” I can’t blame them one bit for being angry, but if they didn’t make such a big deal about everything else maybe I wouldn’t be so hesitant to talk to them. I would rather them make me pay for everything, rather then having them both yell at me because of the sudden jack in price, but I guess that’s their own way of showing they care. it was a big fuck up on my part for missing the court date, I was so sure that it was on April 9th, I didn’t think twice about it because I thought that if I was wrong there would surely be something in the mail regarding my court date and my violation. That’s so like me to have trust in complete strangers. So far the punishment is vague, "you'll be taking the bus for the rest of year" (meaning school year) were my fathers exact words. I don’t expect to drive much, maybe on the weekends if at all. I’m hopeful their punishment will fall short, as they usually do, especially after I blow them away by paying both of these tickets, the difference in the insurance, and the price of my last ticket... once I get my job that is yet to exist.
Spring break is right around the corner, and so is my birthday. So I think I might be able to make it through the rest of the year.
