Twinkie's
Twinkie! This time it's by Emory Elkins from the excellent
Splendid zine: "The Thelonious Monk of punk? Perhaps not, but you're bound to notice Twinkie's consistent ability, both musically and lyrically, to (intentionally) hit the off-note -- and their keen knack for keeping a thin sliver of melody happening over all the starts, stops and shifts of distortion. What at first seems like an exercise in chance musical operations transforms each song into a fresh, coherent whole...This is an irreverence worth listening to."
