Ferret!
I think this actually works when you search on google so I'm trying it! Suibhne found a ferret in her garage and it is sweet and tame and probably missed by someone! It's currently hanging at my house - hoping that an ad here will be picked up by google searches.
Missing/Lost ferret found in Marietta, Georgia off of Holly Springs Road. (Roswell area 30062 zip code) Very tame, very large. Post a reply here if it's yours or if you've lost a ferret in that area recently.

Curious as to thoughts on the possibilities of fake owners replying to signs and posts? Does that happen?

Edit - doesn't look like it's picked up by google - adding a few more key words, but it may not work for LJ as well as it used to.
