CyberGoblin
So, biff_rocko was going to give an update on Goblin, but cruelly he has been working late every night so he hasn't had time. Now he has abandoned me and gone to Nero, so I will give an update! The end result is that Goblin had a herniated disc in his spine which he has apparently had for 6 years which popped out. They operated on him and replaced his disc, so he is now cyber goblin. I had many fears for the way this would turn out - one of the biggest was that after everyone had helped with the cost of finding out what was wrong with him, he would just be put to sleep anyway. Instead, they are saying he will be better than ever - apparently one of the reasons he's always seemed like an old dog is because of this herniated disc.
I'm not sure how many times I will want to say this, but again I really want to thank everyone so much for their help. So many people helped us - people who I would not have said could afford to help us so much, people who couldn't at all, and instead spread the word. It made the difference between healing him or putting him to sleep - if we could not have come up with the money for the diagnostics, we would have had to take him back home and wait for him to die, or just have him put to sleep. Thank you all so very much - I apologize that there haven't been individual thank you's yet - but there will be! You are all so wonderful. For those of you that have offered up things we could do for money - electrical work, weapon making, etc. - we are still very interested. We didn't actually come up with the full amount, though we were close enough that the vet is working with us on the rest. (we also need to do silly things like pay rent -sheesh!)
