"T'will make old women young and fresh, create new motions of the flesh
and cause them long for you know what. If they but taste of chocolate."
-James Wadworth
It's that time again! I have completed all my holiday chocolate making, and am making some of my creations available to my friends so that you can try. I don't have enough to share with everyone, so there will be the usual "lottery" drawing to win a sampler box, with one of each candy. First the candies, then the rules.
Dark n' Stormy:
"Tropical Flowers":
Portwine Marzipan "Lunas":
Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Ganache:
The Dark n' Stormies have a white chocolate ganache, infused with ginger, vanilla and rum.
The Tropical Flowers contain a layer of hibiscus jelly and a vanilla milk chocolate ganache.
The "Lunas" are a port-wine marzipan; ground almonds, sugar and port.
The molded Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Ganache pieces are a twist on the SCG chocolates I did several years ago, using dark chocolate instead of white, with more sel de fleur this time.
All four pieces are dipped in 64% dark chocolate. The Tropical flowers are decorated with prints of colored cocoa butter (100% edible), and the lunas are filigreed with white chocolate.
The Lottery
Entry is free. The condition is that I must know who you are. Either I've met you in person, I follow you on Twitter, you follow me on Twitter and have at least messaged me once before today, you're an LJ friend, or I know who you are some other way. There's no reason to RT my Twitter messages. Also, due to the cost of mailing out the prizes, you must be in the U.S. or Canada. If you live overseas but will be visiting the U.S. soon and have an U.S. address for me to send, that's fine.
To enter, send me an @mention, a DM, an e-mail indicating you want in, or comment here. If you win, I will need your mailing address. Winners will be selected using a random number generator. Good luck!
Entry will be open for a few days. Due to the holiday, I won't be able to mail out to the winners until next week or possibly the first week of January.
