So, the new year has begun, and I'm back at school. I have to say that my last, few weeks of 2006 were pleasant--time was spent with my sister and niece, my cousins and their new baby, and old friends I have not seen in years. I hung out with Anna and David--two of my friends that I have known since seventh grade--a lot in Greenwood. Anna's pregnant now, which I was a little surprised by, but as long as she's happy with her guy Jeremy (and as long as they can take care of themselves and the baby) good for her. I, personally, would not be able to take care of a baby at this point in my life. I have to say that I had the most fun when David and I went to a bar owned by these older gay men and they kept hitting on David. They were sweet men, and I could tell that they were just teasing and that they were more like uncles to him. I feel for David. He doesn't have much support from his family, and he needs it. Later on, I went to Chili's with David and those men, and I had my first martini-- a Chocolate Martini, to be exact. I also had some other mixed drink and a Midori Sour before we got to Chili's, so I definitely felt a little "tipsy" at the end of the night. I meant to take pictures while I was hanging out with friends, but I was too busy trying to get drunk. Oh well.

I have lots to look forward to this year. I'm going to actually try and exercise and stick to a routine, because I want to look toned for the summer. I saw some paintings of a girl I used to go to school with, and she looks so awesome. She's in England being the muse (and possible lover) of an older painter. Lucky. My my also gave me a guitar that her neighbor gave her when he moved out. The only thing I remember how to play is "Parachutes" by Coldplay, so I guess I better learn to play the guitar, again.

Hopefully, I will also have a better paying job this summer, too, because I don't know if I can pull off a spectacular GPA by the end of the year, considering that last semester was lackluster. Well, my main motivation for everything is that I will be able to go to France with Lauren this summer. That will be really nice; I miss her. Well, I hope that the new year is looking good for everyone, Peace Out.

Mya
