Oh. OH MY.

I cannot decide my favourite part. But it is either the idea of Mai trailing people around as a game, SITTING BESIDE HIS BED WHILE HE'S SLEEPING (STALKERY AND YET MADE OF LOVE OMG), or Zuko reading non-Fire Nation propaganda for the FIRST TIME.

Brilliant.

I remember reading the first chapter on FFN and I think I commented there. I really love your characterization of Mai, especially how you get inside her head and run us through her thoughts. She's quite a strong character the way you've written her and a good match for Zuko.

Having her follow him around and describing his actions post-finale through her eyes was a nice move. Somehow Mai manages to be clinical and personal at the same time.

Really liked this line though from Azula...
"But work on thickening your skin. You can't lose control of yourself every time someone insults you. Words are weapons, just like anything else -- keep your guard up."
Nice to know she cares. Great job...I'm looking forward to the rest.

I loved this! And I love your characterization of Zuko and Mai. I hope you write more soon cause I need something to tide me over until we get to see the Zuko and Mai reunion on the show. :)

I can't remember if I commented on chapter 1, or not. If not then I wanted to say how much I enjoy this story. I think you've got the characters down well. I look forward to the next chapter.

Awesome! I love how you had Zuko come around to Iroh and Aang's way of thinking--and the fact that Mai is probably even going to hear him out of it. They're both extremely IC, and it's written very well. Loving it!
