Hooray for textless icons! To be honest, I'm kind of nervous about modding an icontest community :) Hopefully, I'll be on time with everything, and drama will be at a minimum. In any case, to celebrate our new community, I present to you...
WEEK 1 GENERAL THEME: New
(Current Count: 4)
Interpret this as you will. Maybe the textures you use make it look shiny and new. Maybe the screencap you choose has, say, Sokka getting a new bag, or Aang learning a new technique. Or even a new, unique icon layout. Be creative! Don't be limited to these examples. If you feel that your icon needs an explanation, don't hesitate to leave one.
WEEK 1 IMAGE THEME: "The Cave of Two Lovers"

I always found this episode amusing. :) Also, it has lots of murky or dark caps that, with proper coloring/color adjustment, can become beautiful icons. A bit challenging, no? ;) In any case, you can find three caps under the cut.
Remember, for the image challenge, this should be the ONLY image in your icon (textures, obviously, don't count). If you don't want to use the Avatar Spirit screencap and have the EXACT SAME screencap, you are free to use that one, as well.

Now, how can you have a lyrical challenge in a textless community? It's simple. Essentially, you are creating your own theme (nifty, huh?). Just pick at least three consecutive words, and make an icon based on that phrase. (This means that you can't mix and match words from all over the song-that'd be too easy.) So, when you submit, you'd also make a note of which three words (or more) you based your icon off of. :)
