sorry I'm so late in replying :) it's a very well done piece; there are so many gaps waiting to be filled in the backstory of Avatar; the temple and its inhabitants are among them. it was both surprising and fitting that a mezzo-American type of people would be the ancestors of the fire nation since sun worship was so prevalent. also the pity taken on the dragons and the excesses of a people so out of whack with reality that they'd hunt down those responsible for their own power. it was all thought provoking :) excellent stuff!

Glad you found it thought provoking. I love the dragons and the Sun Warriors so much. It is one of those many interesting ironies in Avatar, how people often destroy that which they have to thank for their own life and abilities. *slaps Sozin*
