I thought this was nicely written - I can't take the credit for it, as it was written as a letter to the editor in last week's Guardian Weekly, but it's still a thought-provoking read:
"The abject failure of the London and Glasgow bomb attacks is noteworthy because the failure was not due to any prior action on the part of the police and security services. One may postulate that perhaps Allah, in his infinite wisdom, has sent a sign that he does not approve of fanatics killing innocent people in his name." - Ian MacGregor, Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
