Tears of Lucifier - A Gospel of Light

Lucifer was betrayed by god. This will be a shocking blasphemy for those who, like me, were told a different story by craggily old nuns that were assured of the lie that Satan’s sin was arrogance leading him to the delusion that he could be like god. But, Lucifer suffered from a broken heart and when his love was all used up he was tossed form the celestial realm no longer a being of pure beauty. Satan’s war is not against god, but against the beings made of the dust of the earth.

“Who is man…Thou made him lower than the heavenly beings; thou hast crowned with glory and honor… (Ps 8:4-5)

The irony was not lost on the psalmist who understood that humanity was god’s crowning achievement animated by the breath of his divinity. Humanity, liars, sinners, murders and fornicators that crawled across the face of this tiny galactic backwater, isolated from the larger universe, fighting and stealing from each other as they killed and maimed each other for temporal glory. Humanity - lovers of created light who shun the eternal light.

Lucifer did not want to become god. He just wanted to be loved and to bask in the glory of the eternal light. Before humanity he was the most brilliant and beautiful of all the heavenly beings. God favored Lucifer and his beauty surpassed even that of Michael, the dirty and tarnished warrior, the flaming sword of god who dispatched death with a flick of a mere wrist.

When god decided to create humanity from dust, Lucifer pleaded with his beloved to reconsider. He showed him the sins his new creation would commit. He cried over the pain and murder of life; he sobbed for the rivers of blood that would nourish the earth. But, god ordered Lucifer from his presence and created humanity giving these creatures of dust his image. Lucifer’s tears were counted against him as rebellion and he was barred from paradise, broken wings, broken he fell to the earth

I saw Satan fall like a lightening flash out of heaven… (Luke 10-18)

Helled off from heaven Lucifer wandered the earth watching as those created to be like god disfigured their souls. Over the millennia Lucifer’s tears turned to icy rage.
