Your Global Warming Factoid of the Day is brought to you by JSTOR.

The oceans and the South American Rain Forests are well known to be the largest producers of the oxygen that we breathe. What many people don’t realize is that the sub-artic forests, the alpine forests that border the artic tundra, in places such as Siberia also play a tremendously valuable role in oxygen production as well as being a unique biosphere all to itself.

Currently German researchers under the ever watchful and suspicious eyes of the Russian Intelligence Service are currently monitoring conditions in Siberia’s sub artic forests. In an interesting turn of events researchers want to determine whether the sub arctic biosphere is helps cool the earth or plays a roll in warming it up.

Be an advocate for clean air. Find out how planting trees and urban forests can play a roll in cleaning the air of urban cities.  For more information please email us at: Plant-A-Tree-For-Clean-Air: More Information
