The tales of a lost cell phone

My roommate, Amanda, went on a shooting weekend for the navy yesterday (yes she's in the naval reserves, cool huh? :P) and had to leave at 6am. She called me later on to tell me that she'd left her cell phone on the cab she was in and could I please suspend her account and maybe call the phone to see if someone picked up. So I called and called but no one answered. Figures.

So I go to her provider's website and send in an email reporting her cell as being lost. Once I've finished that I look at the phone and decide, heck, why not call again and see what happens. And what happens? The cab driver picks up. After I've just reported the phone lost and they'll suspend the account or whatever. Just peachy lol... so I send them an email back saying "No ignore that I got it thanks don't cancel!" (Paraphrased for length) and yadda yadda ya... and wait till the next day to organize some sort of pick-up.

And much of today was spent back and forth on the phone trying to call him to drop it off. But I finally got it! My roommate loses her phone on a cab, which is enough to send shivers down my spine thinking she'll never see it again, but I so got it back. :D

I think that's the most assertive and amazing thing I've done in a long time. Considering a) I don't like phones, b) I don't like talking to people I don't know even worse, and c) my luck is so poor that I usually end up screwed one way or another lmfao... maybe it seems like nothing but I'm pretty damn proud of myself right now :D
