The Lord God has truly blessed us this week. He has provided us food for Thanksgiving, enough to fill the pantry threefold, and has provided us a 2008 Chevy Impala SS today! Talking to my friend William from class today, he said don't go to CarHop tomorrow concerning a newer car. He said go to the place he went to, Capital Auto Sales. The man there literally gave us the car, working with us on the down payment, since all we had was $150 out of the $500 he wanted for the down payment. We're going to be making about $320 on payments every month, but that's OK. God has provided us a safe, newer family car.
And the awesome thing was, the girls got to ride in the car on the way home. Zerrin looked at Xy, and pointed at the gap between them- and she said 'You see that?' And Xy said, 'Yeah? What?' And Zerrin said, 'That's the space where our baby brother is going to sit!'
I was just so happy about that, I about cried. Zerrin has been so adamant about her baby brother being a sister this entire time... pretty much since we told the girls there was a boy on the way. She would tell me that I was lying and that no matter what I had said, it was still going to be a girl. We have slowly been trying to get her to see the benefits of having a brother. Like, when daddy's away and little brother can help protect the girls when they get older. Though having a son might prove to be a challenge, it's OK. God has been helping us along the way.
I'm so stinking tired that I'm about to fall asleep in my chair... the girls are with their father until Thursday night at 6 PM. Now that we really don't have to worry about a car and safety issues about the Honda. And we may even have a buyer on the Honda already. Roy had told Jose and Nerissa (Xy's bus driver and aide) about the Chevy, and Jose was jumping about the Honda. He's practically wanted to buy it from us since we first bought it. We were just going to scrap it since it is so unsafe to drive. But if Jose is wanting to put the TLC into the truck, then so be it. He loves the Honda. Well... I do, too. I didn't want to get rid of her. But the truck has served us well since we've had her, she's been a good camping asset... we just don't have the money to put into her. Well over $2000 just in repairs to the undercarriage alone. Axels, calipers, brakes... all of it. And, as I've said, if Jose wants to put the love and TLC into her, then by all means, please- take her and help her survive a little longer. I'd called mom and grandma B earlier tonight to let them know what was going on, and they're both really excited for us.
I am peaceful, and serene of mind and feeling Monkey kick the tar out of me.
The Lord is good.... all the time =)
