It's been a minute since I've updated, but I've really had no... ambition... to really want to do much of anything other than lounge here lately. Baby is growing and doing well, I have a midwife appt tomorrow to see just how well s/he is. Everyone is excited to hear about what Baby is, except Mrs. F, who likes surprises. We probably won't find out that until November. As it is, I've been feeling queasy, tired, starting to have more cravings for other foods, and according to the WIC office last week, I'd actually lost weight. OK??? I suppose that's what happens when one is constantly parked head in front of toilet, tossing her meal into the porcelain god.
Yesterday was the last day of finals, and I have two A's and a C. I passed Algebra with a C... and to tell you the truth, I am pretty pleased with my C. It's the first time ever I have passed an Algebra class... I took LD math in junior high and HS because they didn't think I would amount to anything and didn't want to waste their time trying to teach me. But I tell you the truth, I give Chandra a lot of credit in helping me out... and my Algebra professor was just giving herself a little too much credit, if you'd asked me. My final term will be Accounting with Dr. B, Intro to Retail Management with Orlando, and E-Business with Mrs. F. We've never had Orlando, and from what I hear, he's an extremely outspoken Italian with a mouth. Erm...OK. Neither Dr. B nor Orlando know of my pregnancy, so I guess I gotta tell them.
Today I went to Zerrin's IEP meeting and spoke with the school psychologist, the PT, and Zerrin's teacher. They are focusing on getting Zerrin OUT of diapers and into big-girl panties. Mrs. Melissa wants me to get her panties, and plastic pants to go over the panties- so that Zerrin can start potty training. We both feel that the diapers act like a sponge, and that Zerrin is not feeling when she goes. Her PT will be finding out which company takes care of her walker maintenance and giving them a call, for she needs new wheels and coverings for her handlebars. I also found out today that Xy is going to be ready for forearm crutches before she turns 7. They are going to start working with her with a pair during PT at her school... I wasn't ready for this, but I knew it was coming up... it just means another step of how my 'little' girl is growing up! Of course, Xy's walker will be donated to the CP Center when she is no longer in need of it.
While I was at the IEP meeting for Z, Roy was down at the DMV attempting to get his permit... and come to find out that once more, Salina KS PD had jerked him around AGAIN over 10 years ago over something that had been paid and should have been taken care of. He'd passed his tests, but couldn't get his permit because of a computer snafu that had happened 11 years ago... it had been cleared in one spot, but not in another- the clerk he spoke to was pissed, trying to figure out 'what the hell is going on' and promised she would call him back sometime this afternoon. He ended up walking most of the way home, because of how long I was in the IEP meeting. I ended up snagging him about a block and a half away from our house. Then I got ahold of Freddie, who told me where to take our truck to get it legal... and all they checked were headlights, brights, blinkers (front and rear), taillights and brakelights... and checked the depth of the tires. That was it. And he passed it!!! Holy crap!!! Saved us a whole lot of trouble having to scramble to get $500 for repairs that we don't have right now, and we probably won't be keeping this truck much longer, anyway... when Baby gets here, we're more than likely getting a van.
Well, I have to get back to paying bills and figuring out how much money we have. Both the girls need new shoes, and Z was suppose to get her new AFOs today- but Lux Orthopedics called and canceled, as Mr. Lux himself turned out to be sicker than a dog this morning. It's OK. They'll still get new shoes, I'll just have to get two pairs for Z, I suppose. I sold my books, so I'm getting an extra 205.18 back this month (pesky Algebra book was $95 alone!!!) just from that. Which reminds me, I need to schedule when UPS can come pick up this 9-lb box...
