After a night of weird, nonsensical dreams, I woke to hear my phone going off. Z's pre-k was calling about her paperwork that I'd filled out, but yet had forgotten to get back to the pre-k school.
Oops.
I called Legal Aid to find out what they could do to help me out with the issues I'm having with my ex husband, and possibly going to change it. And... they can't do anything. I no longer meet the criteria, they have limited funding, and I have to hire a private atty now to make any changes to the paperwork.
The cheapest one here in town is $600 for a holding fee. Then, God only knows what her prices are per hour afterwards.
I also inquired as to while the house was awarded to me, why my ex husband's name is still on the mortgage. Why it wasn't removed during the divorce proceedings rather than me having to pay $500 to have Phillip's name removed from the mortgage through Wells Fargo.
Money, money, money. Lord God, I hate money.
I have Customer Service homework to finish, and Business Ethics homework to start.
Distractions don't really help, and Roy's in the back taking care of a couple of apparently misused vacuums that our neighbors threw out. If they'd taken the time to actually look at them and rather than just throw them out, maybe they would have some decent vacuums around!
